Consider this capsule-shaped machine the gold standard of body metrics. Take a seat inside and, in just a matter of minutes, it will estimate your fat mass, lean body mass, body fat percentage, resting metabolic rate and total energy expenditure. Non-invasive and accurate to within 2% of your actual body fat percentage, it's pretty much one of the coolest ways you can analyze yourself.
Basically, the pod measures a pressure response to volume changes within its walls. It's as simple as that. And all within a matter of minutes! The results give you a personal body composition breakdown (think body fat percentage and lean muscle mass).
Sometimes fitting in a pair of skinny jeans is enough to cause a victory dance, but having some hardcore numbers and stats can make you feel even better about your success. Bad-ass and pretty limited in Massachusetts, the pod allows burners access to the most accurate body fat testing--and can give you more insight on your capacity and potential.
Aside from telling you just how much of your weight is fat mass and lean body mass, the pod can dole out plenty of other helpful info. Ever wonder how many calories you burn simply "at rest" while watching Netflix? That number can determine your fitness regime, help you tailor your eating habits and figure out just how much exercise you really need for your #goals. With monthly reports that hold you to your words, you can better manage your plan.
Now! And anytime, at that. We're thrilled to have the BOD POD in our facility and ready for you as soon as you are!
Non-members (including those that do not attend our gym) are also welcome to get an assessment for a one time fee.
Please do not eat, drink, or exercise 2 hours prior to the test. Wear minimal, form-fitting clothing.

The results you get from the bod pod test go beyond the scale and caliper. The report includes: Weight. Body Fat %, Body Composition (consisting of lean mass, and fat mass in lbs) Resting Metabolic Rate. Estimated Total Energy Expenditure. Thoracic Gas Volume or the functional residual capacity of the lungs. Bod Pod Body Fat Rating Table to determine your individual body fat rating. It includes F.A.Q. and a detailed explanation of the report. 3 pages total.
Go to the Bod Pod website for further details about the system and why it provides the best measurement of the body hands down.
Coupled with our Bod Pod test, we offer a diagnostics screen that evaluates movement pattern quality in our members. During a mobility test, we evaluate basic movement abilities and based on the results provide the member with a prescription of exercises to work on in order to correct their mobility limitations and/or asymmetries. The goal of the prescription is not to just fix mobility problems but the aim is to also improve one's daily life in terms of how the body functions and feels and also carry over to improved performance when participating in a Burnin' class.
