ROWLAND’S RULES: BEGINNERS FAT LOSS EDITION

ROWLAND’S RULES:  BEGINNERS FAT LOSS EDITION
By Rich Rowland

If you are reading this, then welcome to the first edition to my rules.  You see, there are some rules that are made to be broken and some rules that are made to be followed.  Today, I am talking about my rules for fat loss to follow.  These rules apply to all those people who are starting out on a new journey to lose that unwanted body fat.

1. Stop Lying –

Stop. Lying!!!  You see there are two types of lies.  The first type is the easiest.  You lie to yourself.  The problem is the more you do it, the more you start to believe it.  After spitting so many, you will have a hard time separating the truth from the lies.  The second type is, lying to other people. I get it, it’s so much easier to just lie about it and get out of an uncomfortable situation, but just know you will get caught!  Nobody likes liars, and I mean nobody!  So come clean and be straightforward.   Admit you have been eating processed foods with tons of sugar, and move the eff on! Own the fact that you haven’t exercised in 5 years.  Stop saying you don’t know which foods are healthy.  You ever hear of this magical place called the internet?

2. Exercise MORE –

Get up, and get moving.  Everyone has the same amount of hours in the day! Therefore, find the time to exercise.  You should be trying to get in at least 48 minutes of Low Impact High Intensity workouts on most if not all days.  I say again, on most if not all days.  Your worst workout is the one you didn’t do!  So get up, and go workout!  You can find 1 billion exercise programs online, trust me I counted them all!  Keep your workouts fun in the beginning.  This will help to prolong your fitness journey and allow you to stick to the process of creating a habit.

3. Eat LESS –

Pretty simple.  Just try eating less and see how you feel.  We all have these ideas that we only need to stop eating when we are full.  Not the case!  Eat less sugar.  Eat less processed foods.  Eat less fast food.  Eat less calories.  You don’t need to know what blood type you are to eat healthy.

I think of these as the Big 3.  Start by owning up to yourself and others by not lying.  Drop the lies, and you’ll feel better. Start exercising on most if not all days to keep you muscles growing, but remember in the beginning all exercises are good.  Lastly, just cut your portion size down.  Now you have your first 3 rules, so go and apply them!
